The ocean means more to me than anything and waves specifically. As a surfer I constantly imagine the perfect wave and will continuously analyze the texture and symmetry of the water moving to create the most perfect form that only the ocean can produce. I have always been drawn to paintings but I cannot paint to save my life, so I use the camera to bring some of my visions to life. Slowing down a moment allows me to see the different textures and I just sort of like that…since my life is always full of movement.
